Las Vegas - How much did you pay to go to Vegas from NYC this summer?

I'm planning a trip to Vegas for a bachelorette party this summer. We're going right after Independence day (7/5 to 7/8 or 7/12 to 7/15). I haven't been to vegas in over 10 years, and I've no idea what a decent fare would be. Tickets right now seem to be hovering at around $550 from NYC with a stopover. I'm wondering if that's comparable to the fares people saw this summer? I'm using a companion certificate for the the trip, so that adds another layer of complexity and restrictions to the reservation. I know it's impossible to predict fares, so it'd be great to hear the deals people got this summer.
Thanks!
If you're using a buy one-get one, you should go for the $500+ fare. You're still under $300 each. That is very reasonable right now.

Thanks... I know fares around 550 are pretty standard as of today, but I don't want to pull the trigger now if standard fares in the summer right now hover around 450 (assuming next summer will be similar to this past summer). I'm starting planning early, and I don't want to lock in a too-high fare early on.

I would certainly wait until early spring to start looking for a good fare.

Set up a fare alert - Vegas fares from NYC can be had as low as $275ish all-in. Look for fares ex-EWR for the best deals. I've been 3 times this year & haven't paid more than $350 - once in February, once in September, and once in October. I'm heading back in December, but using miles (25k award for non-stop ex-EWR).

I would never purchase a flight more than 3 months or so before unless there is a great fare.
