Hawaii-based Airlines - Check-in times for inter-island KOA, HNL, no checked bags.

I am looking at an inter-island flight departing KOA at 0615. The return is departing 1750 from HNL. I will have no checked bags, only carry-ons.


I need to park my rental at KOA so i can pick it up on my return in the evening.
For the 0615 departure, what time do I need to be at the airport?
By what time do I need to checkin at KOA for the 0615 flight?
For the return departing HNL @ 1750, what time do I need to checkin at HNL?


At HNL, I am likely to only use public transport - not necessarily a rental.

As far as when you should arrive. I've always found KOA security a bit hit or miss, and it really depends what other departures are going out at the same time. With an early morning departure, there are no other domestic flights going out that time, so I would be comfortable with an absolute minimum of arriving 45 minutes before the flight, and about an hour before with the car rental. I also usually build in a buffer at KOA because the drive times from Waikoloa or Captain Cook are always longer than I think they are.
