All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - End of Year Mileage Run Question

i had a question (my first on this forum) regarding thoughts on a mileage run route.

after i return to the US on a trip from Taiwan (leaving on nov 10), i will be about 16,000 miles shy of 50k. i don't get back from TW until dec 14, and i am not sure that i will have time to fly around while in taiwan. any thoughts on how and where to do a mileage run between dec 14- 31? i do transfer in NRT, so perhaps i could do a NRT-OKA run...thoughts?

Mileage runs in Japan are not cheap, especially compared to the US -- I'd recommend just doing one there if I were you. You don't get the 2x domestic mileage multiplier, however.

More importantly, though, 16,000 miles is a long way from PLT. Do you plan to fly a lot next year that would make having PLT worth it? If you really want *G, have you thought of crediting your miles to A3 or a carrier with lower mileage requirements?
