Hilton HHonors - Somerset E. Brunswick area which hotel?

I am taking my wife for a night out next weekend in the area. My choices are:
Somerset Doubletree
Somerset Hampton Inn
East Brunswick Hilton
Iselin/woodridge Hilton
Edison Hilton Garden Inn
The prices are all in the same neighborhood. A suite upgrade would be very useful (am HH gold).
Which hotel do you think is nicest and where do I have the best chance for a room upgrade?
Thanx!

Sorry I never stated I'm Talking about New Jersey.
Is there any way to edit the topic line?

We stayed at the brand new (4 weeks old) Hilton Garden Inn in Edison 2 weeks ago.
They say all the rooms are the same. No suites. But after they gave the 3 of us a king room, I'd ask for the much larger double room instead. This room was gigantic.
As a Gold, I got my water at check-in (ask) and breakfast coupons for the 3 of us.

Avoid the Woodbridge Hilton if you want a nice room.
The Hilton East Brunswick is actually a decent hotel (clean, large rooms, provides upgrades, etc.). Not sure what else you are looking for -- e.g., there are not a lot of restaurants, etc. right around the hotel. However, if you are looking for hotels around that whole area there are plenty of things to drive to.
The HGI must be new? What landmarks are close to it? Looks from the Hilton website map to be on the East side of 95, but I am not sure what kind of neighborhood.

The HGI in Edison is not in any kind of neighborhood. It's neighbors are other hotels and office parks.
Location is at the junction of the NJ Tpke (I-95), Garden State Pky, Route 1, Rt 9.
Plenty of shopping and places to eat.

The Short Hills Hilton is a bit far and also double the price, $160 instead of around $80 for the others. If I'd be able to get the Short Hills for that price I'd take it in a heartbeat.
As for clarifying what I'm looking for nice rooms and nice facilities. Proximity of reastuarants isn't important.
Thanx everyone.

Not to be presumptious but if you can get the Short Hills Hilton for $160 vis-a-vis $80 at the other hotels and it's a special occasion, it's totally worth it.
It's head and shoulders above the others in the area. Just my opinion.
Whatever you do, don't go anywhere near the Gateway Hilton in Newark. SCARY.

East Brunswick Hilton is nice. You might also want to check th HGI in Bridgewater (very nice)or ES in Piscataway. I second the Woodbridge Hilton. Nothing special there.

I would concur on Woodbrige. I've made that mistake twice over the course of 6 years. I hope I never make it again.
East Brunswick is actually a fairly nice hotel for the business traveller.

East Brunswick also comes up fairly cheap some weekends, and the staff is excellent.
Not to insert a cheap plug for New Brunswick, but there are some excellent options for dining downtown these days. If you want suggestions, feel free to drop me an email.

Thanx everyone. Based on all the input I made a reservation for the East Brunswick Hilton. The rate is $80 a night. I thought this was a good deal. We'll see if I get upgraded.
