Was looking around for cheap Hyatt hotels in northern VA area to complete 5000 points promo and found Hyatt in Fairfax for $62 per night excluding taxes.
Valid for: Nov 4 through Nov 7 and Nov 10 through Nov 14.

That is fantastic for northern virginia
in the past, i have found rates as low as $52 around Dulles

Very low weekend rates in the Dulles corridor have been common for many years now. These hotels typically fill up during the week with government contractors and empty out when they head home for the weekends.
It's not just Hyatt. Check out weekend rates for the other chains too.

Very low weekend rates in the Dulles corridor have been common for many years now. These hotels typically fill up during the week with government contractors and empty out when they head home for the weekends.

Thanks MileageAddict. The main purpose of this thread was for mattress run at Hyatt for 5000 points promo expiring on 11/15.
I'll be there too - have a few more stays to requalify for Diamond next year. Might as well do it during the promo period!

totally agree. This price is quite normal for weekend at IAD. Nothing special at all.
