Hilton HHonors - Amex Double Points Not Awarded

A while back I got a letter from Amex stating that if I spent $1400 on my card in Aug/Sep/Oct, I'd get double-points (this has been discussed in other threads). Well, I got my August statement and even though I spent $1400+ I only got my standard point award!

Has anyone else got their "double points" yet? I called Amex and the CSR didn't even know what I was talking about.

I don't have the promo in front of me but I'm pretty sure it said something like "the double points will post 6-8 weeks after the month in which they were earned."

Thanks, FBM! Being such a dumbass I lost my original letter and couldn't check myself.

Not only that, but it is spend $1400 in the calendar month of August, not on your August statement. If a lot of those charges on your August statement came from late July post dates, you could have missed the boat!

Moral - always read the fine print.

PS mine posted instantly despite the 6 to 8 week warning.

Thankfully my billing cycle is almost exactly a calendar month so I'm safe. But if you got your bonus points posted immediately then I think maybe I should have as well.

Oh well, I guess it's time to call another clueless CSR...

My bonus has not posted. Only the regular 3 pts per dollar have been posted. I will wait after the 6-8 weeks to call.

I have the card in front of me, and it says "8 to 12 weeks after the end of each eligible month"

Was there something on your Amex statement about them? Or did they just show up on your HHonors statement? And what did it say on your HHonors statement?
