Singapore - New HSBC Visa Infinite and complimentary JetQuay access

Miles per dollar aside, gotta say the new HSBC Visa Infinite card (Singapore) is loaded with fantastic travel benefits. For me signing up to this card was a no brainer.

The two things that got me excited is the complimentary use of Changi's JetQuay service and expedited immigration clearance in a whole bunch of cities accross Asia (e.g. Bangkok).

Now admittedly, Changi is a breezer compared to other airports so what's the use of gate side pick up when you only have to walk 5-10 minutes to immigrations, and why need dedicated immigration clearance if the existing immigration counter is so efficient (especially if you are a residence of Singapore like me). But still, who would complain for a free escort service. And for me, since I drive to Changi and park my car there (I know, cab fares are cheap it doesn't make any economical sense to spend S$25 per day for parking at the terminal, but that's me), the 10 days complimentary parking at the JetQuay terminal is a benefit itself.

And then, there's the meet and greet and expedited immigration service at the immigration zoo locations like Bangkok, Jakarta, Delhi etc. etc. What a peace of mind! I still can't believe they are offering this complimentary.

All for this for S$248 per annum (S$488 usual). Unbelievable.

My card just arrived and I've already booked the JetQuay service for my Haneda trip next week. Although Haneda is an even more breezer airport than Changi (on top of that I already have automated clearance through immigration in Japan), just for the experience I've also booked the meet and greet service at Haneday. Will post the experience when I'm back from the trip.

So, if you are based in Singapore and have been invited by HSBC to try out the card, I would say you go for it.

P.S. There's a sign-on bonus of a Sony tablet or 30,000 miles.

I wish it were available in the UK!

I use Quayside service several times a year and pay S$150 for each arrival via the IC! Do they offer the Quayside service complimentery or is it full price ie just CIP access or Gateway is free?

Anyone interested in a thread where we review/discuss the expedited immigration service offered with this card? I've had good experiences and some useless experiences. Would be nice to know what to expect at various airports.

I looked into this card yesterday. 488$ annual fee. 30,000 miles, or a digital camera.

What are the lounges like at JetQuay?

Never been to the JetQuay lounge. I think the meet & greet is the value for me. Though in India it was useless. Might as well have been by myself.

I've used the meet & greet in BKK and MNL. At both airports, met at the jetway, escorted through fast track immigration (at BKK the same premium lanes that you usually need the golden ticket for, at MNL through the wheelchair passenger counter), pick up baggage (at MNL there's a second lackey just for your bags), escorted out through the shortest customs line (sometimes green, sometimes red, sometimes OFW in MNL, whichever is shorter, no questions asked) and to the taxi rank.

Very useful in BKK, at MNL useful on the day arrivals but no real time savings on the 9pm SQ arrival since there are no queues at that time anyway.

JetQuay is a decent experience, but the food and drink in the lounge is non-existant. Even the Krisflyer Gold lounge has better food.

The Priority Pass is useful ^. So is the pre-booked limo to the airport which is very reliable and serviced by the Comfort Merc cabs.

The limo service, JetQuay, expedited immigration clearance and priority pass are all given free and unlimited throughout the year.

Catch is that there is an annual fee to be paid which is a steal considering you pay only 488 for all the services above and you still have a choice of a free gift.

so everyone here has the card?

From reading the comments of others it would appear that is not the case.

Anyone have an idea of what the requirements are for this card? I know someone currently with DBS but no point in encouraging her to switch over if she wouldn't be offered it anyway.
