Travel with Children - Travelling via FRA on LH with 2 kids - Will I get my stroller once I deplane at FRA??

Hi!
I am travelling in a couple of weeks to Dubai via Frankfurt on Lufthansa(business class with miles)
I will have my 15 month old daughter (who is going through a very clingy phase and does not walk much yet) and my 4 year old son with me.
My major concern is whether I should gatecheck my stroller (I have a Combi Flare - pretty light weight and compact) or not. Would I receive it at Frankfurt when I get off the plane or will I see it only at baggage claim in Dubai?
I have a 5 hour layover in Frankfurt and it would be very difficult to handle both the kids without the stroller.
Do I have any other options besides gate-checking the stroller anyway?
Appreciate your help guys!

Definitely gate check it, that way you have it at Frankfurt as well as at your arrival for going thru immigraiton, customs, etc.

If in C it should fit in the overhead or closet - take it on board and ask. In FRA I understand they do return strollers at the gate but check on the LH board. I think the airport also rents strollers.

I have always had my stroller returned to me at the gate.
Please don't place any strollers in overhead bins. It wasn't allowed on the two airlines I worked for. Sometimes they can be stuffed in closets, if there aren't too many coats. Ask nicely but I still think you're okay with gate-checking. You wont be in a hurry at FRA anyway!

From which airport is the OP originating the trip?
I have always had my stroller returned to me at the gate.
When flying LH, that hasn't always been the case for my parties. Sometimes they thru check-it. [Those are LH flights primarily in business/first class, but I don't think that is a factor that makes for my different experience.] And other times they don't even let the strollers go to the gate -- and I'm talking about the very strollers that are allowed to be gate-checked under AA's somewhat more restrictive application of its policy for traveling with strollers.
In FRA I understand they do return strollers at the gate but check on the LH board. I think the airport also rents strollers.
They do, at least often enough; however, it in part depends on how it was tagged at the airport from which the FRA-arriving flight originated.

I depart from Houston
The last time I flew LH first the stroller was not returned to me when I de-planed but that was also the time FRA was going through a snowstorm
Not sure if the weather had messed up their routines or if it is normal for them to thru check the stroller
Even when I was in first and I requested them to let me bring the stroller on board they said no space was available. I will try it again this time but I am not counting on it. I think I will have to gate check it :(
