I am Gold and staying at the Hilton Chicago this weekend which is completely sold-out. I wouldn't worry but I'm checking-in rather late and fear being locked-out. What should I do if I get there and there's no room available? Thanks!

Call them now and tell them you will be checking in very late and would like your room held.
If all else fails, my futon is available for $200/night http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I would concur that it is a good idea to mark your reservation for late arrival.
If it is really of concern you could make a quick call (Tel: 1-312-922-4400) or e-mail to the manager ahead of time and let them know you do not wish to be "walked!"
Just in case, remember that there are other Hilton-affiliated hotels around the area (Palmer House is less than 1/2 mile away).

Call them and let them know you are coming in at about such and such a time and would like them to hold your room. I know everybody else has said the same thing, but it's good advice.
If you get delayed, call them again and give them the new time.
I have had numerous late arrivals and have always called ahead and guaranteed the room with my credit card. I asked them to charge the room to my card. I have never been turned away/walked. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
