France - Van and English speaking driver in Paris

A colleague is taking his family (party of 8 including two grandma and four teenage boys) to Paris for a couple days in August and would like to get a van or minibus with an English speaking driver to take them around to the usual tourist sites.

He found a couple companies that offer a service like this, but has found the pricing to be quite steep. Does anybody here have somebody they've used in the past or know somebody in Paris with a big van who might want to make some quick cash for a couple days' work?

I haven't used them myself, but have read some good things about Tours By Locals, an outfit in the Seattle area who screens local guides in different areas. I believe they charge in US $, they charge you and then they pay the guide. We were looking into a trip in Morrocco, where the guide said he could take up to 10 people, but we booked something else instead.
