Hilton HHonors - Conflicting Status

When I checked in at a Hampton yesterday, I noticed that my registration form indicated my status as Diamond while everything online indicates that I am still Gold. (I am really still Gold.)

Possible explanation....several months back, Hilton seemed to erroneously bump some Gold members up to Diamond status (including myself). The Diamond status appeared on my HHonors profile for several days, and was then removed as inexplicably as it had appeared.

During this time, apparently, I made a Hilton reservation. Although the actual stay occured long after the Diamond status had been removed, when I checked out my account folio from the hotel did reflect Diamond status.

Since then, I have made subsequent Hilton stays and my status again appears as Gold.
