Wyndham Rewards - When a Wyndham isn't a Wyndham any more...

I'm a very infrequent Wyndham guest but do have a booking over this weekend at the (formerly) Ramada Jarvis Leicester UK. I made the booking about 4 weeks ago; since then, and without notice to me, the property has been sold and is now an Accor/Mercure. The only way I found out about the rebranding was from another guest's TripAdvisor review.

I'm assuming the booking is still valid-- it is not prepaid but does have a cancellation penalty if not cancelled by 2pm local time--- I prefer to keep the booking as there is not a wide selection of hotels in Leicester (or at least not near the high street). Calling both Accor and Ramada/Wyndham has been frustrating and still hasn't gotten me an answer. Anyone have a better way to verify if I'll be showing up to an awaiting room? Tried calling the hotel directly but was put on hold for ages (expensive when calling from a US mobile).

Also I am assuming that since the property is no longer a Wyndham, I won't be able to get Wyndham stay credit; however, the stay credit was the primary reason I chose this property over the nearby Premier Inn. Premier at the time of booking was cheaper, and is closer to the train station, but I'm participating in the US Airways grand slam promo and needed the stay credit to count towards that promo. Premier is no longer cheaper than my advance booking, and the Ramada-now-Accor is likewise much more expensive. So as long as I can get the original booking honored, my preference is to keep it, but I'd like to salvage my grand slam credit as well. How accomodating is Wyndham's customer support in this regard?

Advice appreciated as always :)
