I am new to the forum (although lurking for over a year) and also making my first trip to the ATL in over 10 years. Wondering if anyone could recommend some nice restaurants at 2 different levels to check into while there.
The levels are:

Steakhouse / Chop House Upscale $65+ per person average
Nicer Wide Variety Menu or local specialty $35-$75 per person average

I will be with clients on most nights, but they are also close friends, so we usually do one really nice night out and then a couple of more "normal" nights out.

Appreciate the input :D

Welcome to FT!

I know it's a chain (evidently a big no-no here at FT), but I am partial to the Houston's locations around Atlanta.

I've had brunch at the Midtown location and dinner at the Vinings location of South City Kitchen and been impressed both times.

http://www.southcitykitchen.com/

This would be in OP's category 2 since it's moderately priced and would probably be considered "New Southern" cuisine.

For the first, I'd recommend Bones -- personally I think it's the best steak in Atlanta.

I'm not the best person to ask on the 2nd. Houstons and South City Kitchen suggested by others are pretty solid. If you like Italian, I'd recommend Alfredo's on Cheshire Bridge.
