Virgin Australia Velocity - I cannot add my DL FF while booking DJ on virginaustralia.com
While one would be able to insert DJ Velocity FF number while booking DL flights on delta.com, I cannot add my DL FF number while booking DJ on virginaustralia.com. Would anyone know why? IIRC the agreement was supposed to be reciprocal, wasn't it?
I can only add DJ, NZ, MH, VA, VX, EY numbers.
Is it done intentionally (to force Velocity enrollment)? Would I be able to add DL number upon check-in?
Any comments would be appreciated...
PS. DL works on V Australia site, but the booking tool is different - looks like Amadeus Internet Booking Engine.

so many new things are happening at DJ it appears that not everything is working as it perhaps should, a call or email to them usually sorts things out pretty quickly.
They are hungry for success...

When I bought my tickets from esoon-travel.com, they put in the Delta SkyMiles frequent flyer numbers except it showed up as VA Velocity when I talked to the VA phone representative so they changed it to Delta but when I do the retrieve my booking on VA's website, it just shows up as a number without specifying DL either.

Thank you vincepoy
And these DJ flights posted on your DL FF statement?

That part I don't know yet since both my mom and my ticket is for travel on November 5, 2011 and returning on November 28, 2011. I sure hope it's done correctly since I remembered the last time I had to claim missing mileage credit for UA, it wasn't a easy process!
Thank you!
I will book and try to send them an e-mail... (Not that I have too much choice these days;) - ups.. I forgot Tiger is operating again:D)

Just for reference, I looked at my Sabre virtuallythere.com booking and it shows:
FREQUENT FLYER
0123456789 / V AUSTRALIA
On VA's site when I retrieve booking, it doesn't actually show the Frequent Flyer info but when I called VA by phone, they changed it to Delta Skymiles and everytime I call them for something, they confirmed it's Delta Skymiles.

Sabre should show you the VA PNR as well - grab that and plug it in to http://classic.checkmytrip.com - what does it show there?
(The Sabre booking is the one made by your TA; VA staff won't have access to make changes to that I think. Would recommend contacting your TA and ask them to update their end in Sabre as well)

Thanks, I do not know how up to date is the Sabre info since when I originally provided esoon-travel.com with my Delta Skymiles number, VA told me it was listed as a VA Velocity number and they changed it to Delta SkyMiles. However, using the link you provided, in the traveler information, it shows "Frequent flyer(s): DL followed by the 10 digit number" so atleast it seems checkmytrip.com is showing the correct info, thanks for that link!
