All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - ANA 787 Reward Availability

I was searching for HND-FRA flights in Feb and found that NH has released 787 Star Alliance rewards travel in C and Y classes.

Unfortunately I am not finding any C awards, just Y. Have looked at dates through November on the CO site.

Can we upgrade with miles coming from other Star Alliance airlines? If so, how do we proceed for the upgrade? Do we have to contact the airline where our air miles are to apply the upgrade if available?

Glad to see this. Now, if only F would open up. I assume they -have- F on this plane. Interestingly today on NH 7 as I was perusing the manual for the new IFE (SFO->NRT->SFO is now the reconfigured F Square), I noticed that the same IFE was listed for the 787 in C but there was no mention of the 787 in F. Either it has the same IFE, something totally different, or simply doesn't exist.

Actually, no. It doesn't have F.

Already the whole aircraft only carries 158 passengers in a 2-class configuration (in an admittedly C-heavy layout, but then their 77Ws are pretty similar too). Adding F would have made the number even lower with no guarantees of paid F demand.

As stargold mentioned, no, the 787 does not have F. It hardly makes sense on the narrower 787, and especially not when you can fly to FRA in F from TYO already.

HND-FRA is being positioned as a business route, just like HND-LAX.
