Well I guess you have not been booking 5 star hotels in HCMC city. Room rates there are pretty crazy considering eveything else in the country. I will just tell you that the Park Hyatt gets around 250 a night for a pre-pay rate and most rates are between 300-400. LOL The SHeraton is about the same so I would say that the 120 rate is probably like 50% off of what it will be after opening shakedowns....Yep Saigion not a cheap place to stay for sure.

A quick search on Kayak in January shows the Sofitel at $142, the Sheraton at $180, the IC at 214 a.i. and the PH at $272.
As I never stayed at a Nikko before canīt really say if this is a deal or not.

Hotel Nikko Saigon will open at December 18 2011. The Grand Open package is only from $120/night. You can check and book at this site
If visiting HCMC in December the Movenpick Hotel Saigon looks a great deal for 3 night bookings. Reasonably new Executive club rooms available including the following:-
Rooms are larger and offer a sitting area and ample workspace.
Guests are also entitled access to the Executive Lounge and its benefits.
# Daily buffet breakfast (all day tea & coffee service and nightly cocktails) at the Executive Lounge,
# Complimentary 4 pieces of laundry (except dry cleaning),
# Complimentary access to broadband internet,
# Flexible check-out until 4 pm (subject to prior advice and availability),
# Welcome fruit basket and daily newspaper
The price on Booking.com is approx 115 USD per night inclusive.(3 night min) Months other than December seem more expensive.
The Movenpick might not be ideal for all as it is away from the city centre(10 mins from airport) but it does get generally positive reviews.

One more information, this rate include free International Buffet Breakfast, 15% discount at La Brasserie and complimentary outdoor swimming pool, gym and sauna. I'm sure this is the reasonable rate. :)

If you are posting on behalf of the hotel, you might want to sign your posts indicating that!!
Also, you might keep in mind that this is a deal forum and not a place where hotels advertise their business!!
That said, I sincerely wish you a successful opening and thriving business!! I might drop by next summer.. ;)

Hi Nikkosaigon,
Above you mention that the rate includes free breakfast buffet. However, on the web link it states "one complimentary buffet breakfast" (http://www.hotelnikkosaigon.com.vn/en/news_detail.php?id=82). The inclusion of the word "one" is a little confusing. I am assuming that the breakfast buffet is free to registered guests for the duration of their stay - correct?

This is not a bad rate, wondering how its compared to the IC Asiana ($100/night Corp rate) location wise. I'm arriving in SGN on Dec 19, day after the grand opening, I may give this some thoughts if the location is desirable.

I have a free Park Hyatt night and a cash & points at the Sheraton booked, but nikko hotels can be pretty nice, and the free breakfast if it is for all of us (2 adults, 2 children), would be nice.
Website is loading VERY slowly (Firefox).

I booked it at $120 for 2 nights in January and will think about it later. Since it included breakfast, I couldn't see the point in getting the club level for $50 more (don't need that much booze).
The link provided by the OP will not work, but rather connect you to another JAL website which does.
The JAL site, unlike the OP's site, does not have any place to enter children-it only asks for adults. Also, the T&C say buffet breakfast included. Nothing about it being just one, so I should be in the clear (kids are under 12).
One more thing is I just opened up another window to check something and got $160 as the special opening rate, not $120, for the same dates,2 adults, etc. Weird.

Dear Konoyaro,
Thank you for your suggestion. The rate in this page is for 1 night so that mean one complimentary buffet breakfast.
One more, this rate is for single and double.

This looks like a very nice hotel, but how about the location? It seems quite far from the "centre" of the city and the nest of other hotels. Is there anything intersting within walking distance for a first time visitor? I'm thinking of staying for three night in March, but the $120 per night deal doesn't appear on the site...

Dear Chauncey,
Don't worry, just only 10 minutes for taking the taxi go to center. In March, you can book "J-ADVANCE 14" package.
You can check in our website Hotel Nikko Saigon (http://www.hotelnikkosaigon.com.vn)

As the terms of this promotion have been clearly explained and discussed, I'm going to go ahead and close this thread now that it has evolved into a Q&A forum for the property.
