Hi, I will be gate checking my citi mini double stroller for my flight FLL to DEN and back. Do you think I need to put my stroller in a cover?
Thank you :)

A cover is good for keeping the stroller clean and dry but wont really protect it from abuse.

First, strip your stroller down. Off with the cupholders, toys, even the suncover (this depends on the model).

Then make sure to bring a bungee cord with you and double secure the stroller, whether you use a cover or not, before leaving it at the gate. Be sure the gate tag is visible. Stroller latches are often flimsy and your stroller could get damaged, even in a bag, if it pops open en route.

You may want to double secure any foam handle covers. These rip easily. Some tape and double wrap is good and you can still push the stroller around like that.

Some on this board use simple covers like laundry or contractor bags.

Yep head to home depot and get a roll of large plastic bags - I think they are about $2 each. They don't take much space, semitransparent and last a couple trips before developing too many holes.

We've got a stroller cover which leaves the child head exposed on our peg perego..

Makes for a great bassinet..

This stroller may be too large to gate check. Check your airline's website to make sure.

I've never had a problem gate checking our stroller..

but its just a single occupant..

If you have a double stroller, that could present a problem..
