Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - Never fly Skylan Airways

My flight with Skylan Jamaica got cancelled 2 days before departure and I had to buy a new ticket from Montego Bay to Kingston. (That Air Jamaica flight got 9 hours delayed and had to take a taxi to Kingston where I arrived 15 minutes before departure, but got on the plane after an incredible performance).

I have since June send 20 e-mails to several Skylan Airways e-mails. First one replied with "the refund is on it's way", but the last 10 e-mails is completely ignored and I don't know what to do.

This is very scary as I've never had any problem getting a refund from any budget airline because of cancelled flights.

Can anyone advice me what to do to get my refund?

Have you disputed the charge with your credit card?

Never give a merchant more than 2 or 3 chances to respond. If they don't reply by then, go to the CC company.

And if you didn't charge this purchase for an airline, well, Rule 1: you should ALWAYS charge your airline purchases for this very reason.

Now that it's 4 months since June, you may be out of luck, so Rule 2: Don't wait 4 months before posting on Flyer Talk for help.
