New to the forum and my first post. I have just redeemed an Award Ticket on Korean Air and looking for seat advice.

For outbound from LAX - ICN (KE16) and ICN - SIN (KE 643) are Prestige Sleeper seats on 777-2.

For return, SIN-ICN (KE 642) is Prestige Plus on 777-3 and ICN-LAX (KE 17) is the new A 380.

When I called Korean Air for outbound, they had Row 8-D Aisle middle section (3 seats) or 10-B aisle on the left side.

I figured 8 was better as further forward so likely quieter, but just in front of the galley so not sure.

Anyway, appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

No problem with galley noise or traffic with 8-D on a 772. I flew KE072 from YVR this week and it was also my choice as the forward cabin is generally quieter (further from Y) and there is a better chance of being next to a vacant seat so you have aisle access with less risk of being disturbed (stepped over) while sleeping. I really like the sleeper-seats; the Prestige+ ones, not so much but OK.

Enjoy your trip!

Definitely go with the mini-cabin. Feels more exclusive and there is less traffic.

Any thoughts on the A380 back home?

Look at the 380 thread for an extensive discussion of Prestige on 380.

Depends on the preference. If you want to spend time working and with drinks, sit in the back near the bar (avoids the long walk all the way from the front). The front is great for sleeping as it is very private.
