Virgin Atlantic Flying Club - Upgrade Inventory the same as Award?

I tried doing a search on this, but didn't really find the answer. Is upgrade inventory for UC the same as Award inventory? If not is there anyway to check upgrade inventory on-line? And is it easier (more readily available) than Award?

I think it is the same.

Yes- if you are in need of an upgrade search for awards on the same flight (always easier to use the one-way option, of course). If the award seat is available call Virign Atlantic immediately and ask for the upgrade.
