United MileagePlus (Consolidated) - Dulles United Clubs are out of Tmobile access cards

When I entered the club I asked for an Internet card. None to be had at any of the clubs. They are very fortunate that Dulles has gone to free net throughout the terminals, signal isn't great but at least it's something.

Sorry but are the new clubs going the route of t-mobile with the cards/signing in or are they going the route of CO where you just connect and you're on your way

They were out Friday night when I came in from my TATL. They had a few they were re-using, and asked me to bring one back when I was finished. I guess those all expired within the next 24 hours.

Too bad they don't have the ability to call the RCCs in ORD or DEN or SFO and get some cards from them--not like they can't find an airplane heading in that direction in 48+ hours.

Just another reason I am not paying for RCC membership--every time I visit on an international itinerary, I am reminded about how little value they are adding.

My understanding is that the contract with TMo is expiring at the end of the month so that might be playing in to them not having the cards available and not wanting to buy more of them. Will suck for the next week if that is really the case and the path they choose, but it could be a factor.

I was at the LH SEN lounge about two weeks ago and was able to pick up a good signal there (a lot better than the one formerly furnished via LH). I can't vouch for any of the United Clubs at IAD, though.

Wow, I had no idea that WiFi was free at IAD. Thanks for letting me know.

On that note, I have always it horrible that airports (which are funded by taxes) are even allowed to charge for WiFi (which has a cost near zero anyway).

Why should we have to use our own service, burning through our data caps, when one of the benefits of club membership is free wifi?
