I believe this is being posted in the right area, but if not, Mods feel free to move.
I just booked a flight from MKE to LAS for Dec 10-13th. Normal round trip is 450+fees each way. This flight came out to 174 each way. I called to confirm business class and they said yes and was told that it is a promotional fair. Heads up to anyone looking to get in a few flights before we lose Airtran forever.

Do you have any other details? That's a pretty sweet deal for $100 over coach for the dates I looked at.

They said it is for promotional fares but doesn't give specifics. I tried to look on the website to see what other flights I could book for that great deal but it did not list anything specific. The flight I booked was about 50 dollars more for business than coach which is actually cheaper than the usual $99 upgrade the offer the day of flight if there are still seats available. I don't frankly understand why they would be doing promotional business fares for fare class that is soon to be changed. Also, the fare is surprisingly still refundable. The coach flights are already very cheap but are not discounted on the same flights, just the business class.

I looked on the website also, no mention of the promo fare.
DO NOT CALL, just in case it's a mistake! Book now, fully refundable/changeable........

I booked mine and then called to confirm and they said it is indeed correct. My friend who is flying out of MSP and taking one of the same exact flights as I am has to pay 554 each way for business class. 1/3rd the cost. I'll take it. Still somewhat skeptical though. Are they able to take away my flight once I have paid for it and had it confirmed both online and via phone?

If this was a mistake fare, they COULD cancel your tickets, but most airlines virtually always honor them. If a mistake fare is suspected, calling the airline with any questions will usually kill the deal, or end it quicker. It sounds like you're fine, but this seemingly unadvertised promo is kind of odd......

I did some spot checking on other routes from MKE...LAS was the only one I could find, although I didn't check all the nonstops from here.
Yes, it's a promotional J fare offered by FL, and is reflected in the fare rules according to their website.

I noticed something up yesterday and posted this in another thread. The Coach and BC fares were exactly the same cost; and this was with plenty availability in both.

Just another devaluation of Elite benefits. Cheaply sell off all of the BC seats so there's nothing left for upgrades. Thanks a lot, Southwest. I can't wait to be through with you.

Agreed. But with free hotel rooms from Vegas plus this deal it means one can go to vegas every weekend for almost nothin. I'll take it! Soon there will be no mke to las direct flights except luv and frontier. Which means we are probably stuck taking a connector flight with ual or delta.

If you're looking for first or business, yes.
Or, some of us will suck it up and take F9 or WN because we prefer nonstops.

When I was poking around the schedule over the weekend while flying FL (via GoGo), I saw some cheap business class fares LGA-MKE ($122 IIRC). I don't remember the dates, though.

How about this...
Lowest coach on connecting flights: $419 one-way
Lowest BC.....on connecting flights: $108 (same routing)
Good inventory for both.

Thanks for posting this. Was just able to book MKE-LAS for CES in January $179 each way.
