There is a gold hand luggage tag included in the gold package. No tag when obtaining blue status.

After receiving my gold card from Aegean, I noticed it only had one luggage tag. Is it possible to get another one (or two)?

I think you just did! Doesn't sound like I missed out on anything then; maybe they got lost on their incredibly slow journey to me.

They refuse to send me more than one. The funny lady on the phone told me though, that there shouldn't be a problem to use the one I have! Huh?!

You should receive a new gold tag if you are downgraded to silver, then upgraded to gold again.;)

You can have the one they failed to send to me if you want. Call them and tell them Nogbad didn't get his and he is happy for it to go to you.

As for a solution to your serious problem, in addition to what she said, you could travel with only one piece of luggage, or use another tag, or ... Believe me, the people handling the luggage (at the airports where this is not done by machines) will certainly not make any comments of any kind!

I got my GoldCard too and no luggage tag either... Not that I really care though...

Perhaps people who want luggage tags can get a hole punch and "loose their card" a few times?

No luggage tag received yet, although one has been promised a few times since my account went gold at the start of the year - another family member received their card in a box with luggage tag while mine came in an envelope.

Back when I first achieved *G and had not received any cards, tags etc I re-applied for a card on the website.

Duly I received a card in a welcome folder but no tags.

This thread prompted me to email again and here is the reply:

Thank you for communicating with Aegean Airlines.
With regard to your request, we would like to inform you that the baggage tag should have been delivered to your mailing address with the initial dispatch of your Gold card (the package consisted of a box wherein both the card and the tag were placed).

Provided that you had simultaneously applied for a replacement of your Gold card, it is quite likely that you eventually received that latter card instead of the original one (i.e. a plain letter on which your gold card was attached, without any supplementary items).

In all cases, we inform you that we have exceptionally ordered a reissue and it will be shipped to your mailing address in approximately one month and a half.

Ahh - I did this too and didn't get the tag. That does make sense; I guess this serves me right for hassling them over the card delivery.

My replacement luggage tag (for the one that did not arrive with my Gold membership pack about a year ago) has finally arrived! Kudos to the M&B office for organising a replacement.

Yes, that's what happened to me. I did get the whole welcome pack with the luggage tag - everything but another Gold card - and none of which came with my original card. But at least the replacement luggage tag came by courier!

Well done on your luggage tag! I just wondered what else is in the welcome pack? I did the same as you with the original sending out of my card, so don't have a tag. Not that concerned about the tag, but was interested if there was anything useful in the pack - particularly information, or if it was just fancy packaging?

I didn't notice until seeing this picture that my name is on the A3 *Gold luggage tag. I'm not sure I like the idea as I normally try not to show strangers my name.

It's sturdy, but you need to remember to tighten the fastener periodically. They tend to loosen as they're used and eventually the tag will open if you're not watchful.

Yeah I lost my tag on one of the flight recently, but the ring is still in tag. Wonder how the tag got missing

For most people it's a simple tag, for some, though, a tremendous ego strengthener: they think that everybody sees it and thinks "Wow"!

Those in the know who see people ( UK-Irish ) residents with them think ''BMI status match'' ;)

For priority handling you'll get a red star alliance tag when the check-in agent finds out that you are a Gold. I don't think baggage handlers are paid enough to look out for Aegean gold luggage tags...

Yes, I think the baggage handler is more likely to steal your shiny A3 Gold tag, and put it on his own bag. A friend of mine lost some of his tags that way. ;)

Well, I doubt that the luggage tag would be proof of status/membership: neither can it be scanned, nor is the validity date indicated. But even if this sometimes works, I think that "lifting" your bag to eye height may sometimes be more difficult than "digging" in your pocket. By the way, I still have the Flying Blue Platinum tag (sort of very dark grey) of 4 years ago on one of my bags... ;)

I highly doubt it was torn away, due to the metal ring it's attached to. There was no damage on the bag, so he seemed pretty sure the handlee had stolen it (this was in Italy, if that makes any difference)

At some points the tag has come in handy for passing the bouncer at the biz check-in. I simply pointed at my trolley bag, and I was let through.
