How does IB normally charge for no-show due to the previous flight delay (on two different tickets)? I would have a tight connection coming up in FRA and try to not rebook the ticket until I really miss the connection.
Iberia Airlines Iberia Plus - No Show FeesView Full Version : No Show Fees ny911 Oct 21, 11, 9:49 pm How does IB normally charge for no-show due to the previous flight delay (on two different tickets)? If you have purchased a fully flexible ticket (flexible even after booked time of departure) then no problem. If you have booked a cheap highly restricted ticket. Then not only might it not allow changes, but *if* the fare rules for the ticket do, then it will be with change fee. But, big but, many cheap tickets can not be changed after booked time of departure. You need to lookup what fare was paid and what the attached rules are. In practice, when it is an IB flight that is delayed, they have been quite accommodating. However I have not experience of missed IB to/from other connections that were not on one through ticket. If one through ticket you are entitled to be sorted out without further few. If not, they while you may be entitled to delay compensation from your inbound flight (depends on delay) your are certainly not entitled to any flexibility with your next carrier. ny911 Oct 22, 11, 1:43 pm Depends upon your ticket rules. I called the reservation and she suggested me to OLCI and paint the BP first instead of reissuing the ticket at a cost (50+30 Euros) to lower the risk of missing connection. NickB Oct 22, 11, 3:20 pm More often than not, when changing at the last minute, it is not so much the change fee per se which bumps the price astronomically but the unavailability of seats in lower inventory classes forcing you to upgrade your ticket to a much higher fare. |
