SkyTeam - SM award tix PEK-HKG

Has anyone ever been able to score SM award tix for intra-China flights on either CI, MU or CZ ?

And if so, for how many miles ?

The award chart (http://dmn.delta.com/skymiles/direct/charts/n_asia/) is your friend. 25K r/t (no one ways at one-way pricing from DL) in Y, 45K in J. You'll have to call to book. I believe that CZ and CI are in the FlyingBlue engine, maybe MU, too. CZ and MU are definitely available on ExpertFlyer.

Yeah ... I quoted the mileage chart to the agent, but of course she insisted that no inventory showed up on either of the three.
Initially didn't even know who the Chinese partner airlines were - this is unfortunately typical when you call the DL premium line to inquire :o

Any chance you can look up availability on EF for 11/22-11/26 ? - PM please if necessary :)

Anyway, it took 25 minutes but with agent #3 I was able to score my award tix on the dates I wanted and the flight numbers that you (and the tool) showed.
Initially she completely rejected my suggestions, but after contacting several other sources she returned with the flights and could not hide her surprise at the findings.
Inquiries like these seem highly unusual :D
