Strange timing, having in mind the Olympics.
I'm about to book this property for October. Has anybody stayed there recently? How is it? Tripadvisor (http://www.tripadvisor.de/Hotel_Review-g186338-d192068-Reviews-Pullman_London_St_Pancras-London_England.html#REVIEWS) is a bit indifferent, especially it's unclear if the renovation is now over. Thanks!

Quite logical as this hotel now is not a standardised product, as Novotels are.

I stayed there last year. Booked as Platinum got a room upgrade. Not impressed with the hotel. It is in a very good location opposite New Scotland Yard. I booked a package with "free" internet but still ended up being ripped off by 3 UKP a day for it. They gave me the run around as to why and refused to refund. Management was very defensive about it as if they were under pressure and have a lot of angry guests.
I got the impression of a traumatised staff. Sit in the lobby area and listen. Within the space of an hour I witnessed an appalling incident of bullying where a line manager bullied a junior staff member into forgoing his day off to do work he is not contracted to do. And I witnessed another bullying incident where a manager admonished in public a junior staff member accused of sneaking out for a smoke. You have to feel for the staff and I was almost tempted to give them the name of a good employment lawyer.
I won't be staying there again. It is one of those hotels that you don't always feel good about returning to at night. I hope Accor has sorted this property out. The continuing indifferent reviews suggest not.

Are we talking about the same hotel, the Pullman St Pancras is nowhere near New Scotland Yard

You are right. I was thinking of the MGallery St Ermins. My bad.

Official PR is out now: http://www.accor.com/fileadmin/user_upload/Contenus_Accor/Presse/Pressreleases/2012/EN/120912_pr_pullman_london__st_pancras_opening.pdf?i d_xiti=1347606002-
I'll stay there in mid-October for five days. After reading the PR, I have high expectations.

I've booked a standard room which was upgraded to a superior. The free gift was a note-book. I also received vouchers for a welcome drink at the hotel bar. No club access (I'm not sure if there actually is a club level). Staff is friendly, the rooms are nice. Breakfast was included in my rate and is very good with a great selection. So all in all pretty OK, but no way comparable to BKK King Power.
