My friends are getting married in the Bronx, and I wanted to use my points to stay somewhere for the 30th-2nd. It'd be nice to stay at the Waldorf-Astoria, or either of the Hiltons downtown. Anyone have any experience with any of these hotels. Would it be worth the 100,000 pts?
Thanks,
Cathy

Cathy,
I'm unsure those hotels can be had for 100k points but good luck.
If you do not plan or have time to do any sightseeing in the Manhattan I would recommend staying just north of the Bronx. There are undoubtedly some business minded hotels in and around Tarrytown, New Rochelle, Yonkers, etc. that offer proximity to the Bronx. I have never stayed at any, so I can't vouch for them, but they offer proximity without the traffic that you would experience in Manhattan assuming you are renting a car.
Is the wedding at a catering hall such as the Marina Del Ray or Maestro's? Just curious as I know the Northeast Bronx well.
