Hilton HHonors - which rate? does it matter?
I was checking rates for a 2 night weekend stay at a Hampton Inn on the hampton website.
The choice of rates included "standard", "weekend", and "hit the road". All three showed the exact same price.
Does it matter which I book? Is there a difference on extra benefits, flexibility of changes, or anything else?

swag-
When I'm confronted with many plan names with the same price, I always go for the one with the cool name as you invariably get something you weren't expecting. The "standard" rate won't have as many goodies as, say, the "Hit The Road" rate.
Remember to put in the "USA" promo code for the free CD after your stay.

Try promo code "AOT" for another 10% off.
AOT's doesn't seem to affect the rate. What is it (dates, rules, etc)?
What kind of CD do I get for USA?

For the CD, while I've never done this myself, you get to choose one from a collection. I think you have to mail in a form that you get after you complete your stay.

AOT gets you a $10 gas rebate. I guess this is in the form of a gift card or certificate.

That's what I had read about the promo, but for me it was just a 10% discount.

If you booked under the AOT promo code, you should get your rebate forms in the mail a few weeks after your stay. The materials they send you contain two $5 rebate forms to mail in with your gas receipts. You can only use one per month, but in the end, you end up with $10 in free gas, less the cost of postage. Not a bad little perk.

Cool. I'll keep an eye out for the rebate froms. But it still came back as a 10% discount, so I am a bit confused.
Is the USA promo code only for Hamptons or only for US residents or both ??!!
