Looking for ideas on a warm getaway for a week that doesn't have loads of college students. Last year we did Hawaii, was great but would like something different this year. Thinking somewhere in the Carribean this year. Would be the first week of April. Can't change that being a teacher.
We would like to do some ocean swimming, snorkeling, etc. Golf or other site seeing would be fine as well.
Thanks in advance.

Most of the more expensive places will be a good bet. Students tend to be on tight budgets. look at St Maarten or some of the other more expensive islands.

I have found most places that require a passport limit the amount of traveling students on Spring Break.
St Thomas will have some college students. Go over to Tortola, smaller amount and less in the other islands.

Interesting thought and seems logical.

Grand Cayman too. Excellent snorkeling and no rowdy college crowd.
I tend to find the college crowd hits Cancun and other places that are a) relatively cheap and b) offer all-inclusives. Stay away from those and you'll be fine.

BVI is a good option too, if you're looking for beachy resorts. Scrub Island is brand new, Peter Island is great, and Bitter Island is there. Definitely low college-kid quotient, although you'll find plenty if you head farther west to Jost Van Dyke (especially White Bay).
