I know it's not a hugely popular holiday there but wondering if anyone has any tips on a good Halloween party (on Saturday 29 October)? We're heading over next week for a Bachelor party. Any other recommendations for activities welcome, too.

You don't need a good Halloween party in Reykjavik. Any Friday or Saturday night in downtown Reykjavik is guaranteed to be a good night. BTW, children in Reykjavik dress up in costumes not during Halloween but during Ash Wednesday (day after Fat Tuesday). It's quite a scene--children sing in chorus to earn their sweets.
