All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - orbitz vs direct from ANA

Hi all,

I'm planning me and girlfriend's first ever trip to Japan and I'd love some ANA booking advice. We found the same NH 1051 flight on Orbitz and ANA's site but ANA's is $240 more. However, Orbitz won't let us pick specific seats. Anyone have experience booking with Orbitz and getting good seats?

If you book with Orbitz, they will give you the airline record locator which you can (sometimes) use to choose seats on the airline website.

However, I will warn you that in the case of IRROPS/Schedule changes, booking with Orbitz instead of the airline can burn you...

mikhuang, congrats on your first post! PVDtoDEL summed it up pretty well and I just might add that you might try to call them to select seats after booking as well.
