Technical Support and Feedback - Flyertalk Gateway Timeout 504 on only one of my PCs

Search didn't turn up anything. On a laptop I've used for years to access Flyertalk, I can no longer access the site as I'm getting a Gateway Timeout 504 error with both IE and Firefox. This started on Monday after I'd returned from a trip where I used the laptop in question. Any idea what I should do?

No problem accessing Flyertalk on my other machine.

Bit more info:

nslookup www.flyertalk.com

Gives me a valid IP address.

DNS is working, so I can ping by name, www.flyertalk.com, and I get a response.

Tracing the name with:

tracert www.flyertalk.com

Gets me to the site, 26 hops.

Still can't get to the site with IE or Firefox on this one machine, so perhaps flyertalk may have been attacked by an address that looks a lot like the one my PC is using, meaning the subnet is on FT's banned list?

Maybe a FT technie knows what's going on?

Hm, this is a toughie.

I've checked and as expected we are not blocking your IP through the FT site.

I had tech look into your IP at the network level, and you're clear there too.

Does not seem to be blocked on our end, I'm afraid.

You can always try this: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/flyertalk.com

I was going to suggest trying to access FT via a proxy/cache like http://www.flyertalk.com.nyud.net, but interestingly, trying to do so, I get the same error as you when doing that:

Error: 504 Gateway Time-out

www.flyertalk.com: Resource temporarily unavailable

Server CoralWebPrx/0.1.20 (See http://coralcdn.org/) at 138.15.10.56:8080

That last line indicates an error on the proxy server (CoralCDN). Does your gateway timeout page give an indication of the gateway that is having trouble accessing FT?
