Travel News - Announcement: Forum name changed from Newstand to Travel News

You'll notice that this forum name has just been changed from Newstand to Travel News. That doesn't change a bit about what is to be posted here. Rather, it brings the title of the forum in alignment with the content. The descriptor continues to say:
Link to and discuss the latest travel news articles. it's all the news (for travelers) that's fit to read.
If you look at the parent forum, almost every forum begins with the word Travel:
TravelBuzz
Travel Technology
Travel Photography
Travel Products
and so forth. This is a small bit of housekeeping, meant to be helpful to members to clarify the purpose of the forum.

Thank you for your clarification about the rename Travel News but, I did not realize know that. Is that some member will allowed to post on Travel News and not an airline forum, am I correct? The thread will have to moved a different forum.

Scotty, it depends on the nature of the news. If the New York Times reports that Delta is about to get a $500 million bailout from the government, then it is perfectly acceptable to post it in the Delta Forum.
On the other hand, if the Times does not mention any particular airline but says that the $500 million will be be used to encourage various companies to fly to cities which are currently under-served, this would be the right forum.

That is a good example, and I thank you -- except I would note that with your first example it SHOULD be in DL, not here.
There "where" and the "how" (and where-NOT and how-NOT)

Travel News? Blech! Do we have to put the word "Travel in front of everything? I think we are all literate enough to understand the purpose of this forum. Newstand sounded a bit more original.
