Hilton HHonors - New Gold Cards?
DH & I just received new Gold Cards. They have the same account number as the old ones (received last year via the erewards promo) and the SAME expiration date of 4/03.
I registered for CNTU last month. Does just registering for that promo give you automatic gold?

Thats strange - I was hoping for a Gold extension to '04 with CNTU promo.
Me too. I actually lost the card and requested a replacement. That happened during/after the registration for the 50k promotion. I thought I would get an extended Gold status but ... NOPE!
Well, I should qualify on my own but it would be so nice to not to be under pressure http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Well, have any of you came across this situation, yet? A while back we each were issued a gold card that has an 04/04 expiration date. Then yesterday we've each received yet another gold card, but this time the expiration date is 04/03.
Sorry, but I want to keep the 04/04 card. Should I contact Hilton to ask about this?
I rec'd a Gold card last year from the EWRDC promo with an exp date of 04/03.
I read this thread a while back:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum57/HTML/003885.html
and took Radiocycle's advice which was:
"I called the HHonors service center 800-552-0852 on Saturday afternoon and the customer service agent told me everyone who had elite status in 2001 was being grandfathered until 2005.
Why don't you call them and verify that this is really true?"
so I called this past April and was told the very same thing.
Then at the end of May I signed up for the CNTU promo and was told during that call that my Gold status will now expire 04/04.
Just received a new Gold card in the mail and it has same account number and same exp date 04/03. Called Hilton and was told that the only special cards were being grandfathered in to 2005 and that CNTU promo only provided one year of Gold status.
Curious if any of you have similar stories, and curious if those that were told they would be grandfathered in to 2005 are Golds who earned status without a promotion?
