Stayed at this hotel a couple of nights and here is my review:
Location - the hotel is located at the end of route 3 east on the service road. Great location for going to New York by car (2 miles from the Lincoln tunnel) or going on the NJTP (16E is just 500 ft. from the hotel). To go to route 3 west you need to pass the exits to the turnpike and tunnel and pass 3 lights until the U-turn - can be painfull on rush hour.
An NJ Transit bus stops just outside the hotel on the service road and goes to 42nd street. On the return the bus stops at the Home Depot - 1 block away, about 3 minutes walk.
Rooms - It's a brand new hotel and it shows as all rooms and halls look new. It looks like any other HGI with the Microwave and mini-fridge. King bed rooms are priced higher than 2 double rooms. Didn't get a suite but I guess it's a standard hGI Suite.
Diamond amenities included a coupon for a bottle of water, and coupons for continental breakfast for each morning. Some HGIs gave me the full breakfast but this one didn't.
As it's a new hotel the staff is a little new and unaware of stuff, as the guy who checked me in, upgraded me to a king room and upgraded my price as well. Usually when I check into a Hilton the upgrade is already processed, in this hotel I had to ask for it.
I guess they will get better with time.
Bottom line - nice hotel, great location for NYC or destinations on the turnpike. For $109 weekday and $89 weekend (current rates) it's quite a bargain for NYC travellers.
