Hi

Sorry if this in the wrong forum, but given that it is a United hub, I thought I would ask the experts.

I have a flight from the B terminal at Dulles this evening. However, a friend is flying on an earlier flight from the C/D concourse. If I go through security with them, can I hang out in C/D then get back to B on the train/strange shuttle things without having to exit and re-enter security? It all looks fine from the Dulles airport map, just wanted to check in practice.

Yes, you can do what you are proposing behind security.

I'll move this to the Washington D.C. forum, which is the appropriate forum for general questions about the airports in that area.

Thanks, both for your answer and the move to the appropriate forum.

Even better, B is accessible via moving walkway which is faster than the Aerotrain / 1950's people movers.

But not from the C/D terminal. From C you take the Aerotrain and from D you take the bus

B is a much more pleasant place to hang out than C/D. If your friends have much time, you'd be happier hanging out in B and they could then go to C/D for their flight.
