Hilton HHonors - HHonors Point Run?

Needing 2 more stays to complete the 50,000
point promo, I was thinking about staying at a local Homewood Suites for $69.00...

690 Pts + 172 Gold bonus pts for rate.
15,000 for 3rd stay.
2,500 for online booking...
18,382 pts total...

Am I crazy for doing that?

Probably as crazy as I am! Start my vacation on July 4th and leave on Sunday the 7th for a gala hotel hop.

Night 1 - Hilton Garden Inn
Nights 2/3 - Holiday Inn(start for double points or miles) with Priotiry club platinum bonus.
Nights 4/5/6 - 3 different Holiday Inn's
Night 7 - Hilton
Night 8/9/10 - Hilton Garden Inn
Night 11/12/13 - Crown Pointe
Night 14 - Homewood Suites

Finish off the 50k, add about 6500 to my BA account plus all those HHonors points with 25% bonus and the Homewood Suites double points offer.

What if I booked the room, paid for it, but didn't show up. Would I still get the Points/Miles and Stay Credit?

It's only on weekend nights.

Not crazy at all.

We scooped up the $31 BDL-BWI one way fares on Southwest and are staying at the HI Ocean City, MD one night for $54, HI Virginia Beach one night for $71, Doubletree Virginia Beach one night for $89 and HI Ocean City, MD again for one night for $54 to complete my wife's CNTU promotion and complete our last R/T on Southwest for the free system wide R/T voucher. Kill two birds with one stone.

Got to love it since I got my wife excited about miles and points!

You might want to try roomsaver.com, we can get a stay at the local HGI for $59, we lose the online booking bonus, but it's a quick way to do the 4 stays for CNTU.

Nope, not nuts. I've got a trip to Vegas next month, and staying at two different Park Place properties to make it happen.

I got LV Hilton for $45 + taxes. The bonus points earned could score a $200+ room in Europe or Asia.

I had a duplicated reservation (cancelled the original one) at Hampton Inn and never showed up. 2 days later, stay points, bonuses and all showed up in my HH account.

Hard to say if that was computer work or you get the points for now show as they charge your cc.

I'm sure some of the guys have more experience on this one.

It depends http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif You might have to call the hotel - have them fax you the folio and then fax that to Hilton. That has worked for people on this board before - there are some prior threads on this if you do a search.

People have done this a lot with the Hampton Inn Phoenix North during the summer as the rates are very low then ( since it will be over 110 here today for about the 5th day in a row you can imagine why)
