Korean Air Skypass - Redeeming Korean Air Miles on US Domestic Delta Flight

Apologies if this has already been answered, but can't seem to find it. I have a Chase Sapphire Preferred card and wish to transfer my Ultimate Rewards points to Korean Air (which like Delta is part of the SkyTeam Alliance). I believe it's possible then for me to redeem these Korean Air SkyPass Miles for a US delta flight (from New York to Florida). Some questions:

1) Does this need to be done over the phone, or can it be online too?
2) If I see on delta.com the flight I want would cost 25,000 Delta SkyMiles, would it also cost me 25,000 Korean Aire Skypass miles (are the miles a 1:1 equivalent). Do I have to transfer over a certain number of miles?
3) Is there any additional fees?
4) After the reservation is ticketed on Delta, can I add my Delta ff# to the reservation so I can use my status, etc (I realize I won't accure any additional miles on a rewards flight)

Thank you for the help!

a couple years ago, i tried to do this. KE's website won't let you, and every time i called i got transferred to someone who didn't speak english, so i gave up.

I have a related question as also have a Sapphire card. If I transfer points to Skypass how accessible are reward flights on this airline and other skyteam partners. Many thanks.

Could I just check with those more knowing than I about Delta and Korean miles? I've got 85,000 miles on Korean to use, about 150,000 total miles with KE over several years. I want to go to Europe from the States. Can I redeem these miles for a Delta ticket for fewer miles than it would cost me with Korean?

Also, I've been thinking about using up these miles and then switching my allegiance to Delta. But my experience with Delta customer service has not been great, and a friend recently had a really bad customer service experience with them which gives me pause. In general, I've found that Asian customer service is far, far better than American. But maybe putting up with cranky American agents would be worth it if the miles are better. And possibly, too, there is a credit card out there that would garner Delta miles faster than a card for Korean.

Could experienced flyers please offer me some guidance? I fly a fair amount, but I don't really get all the ins and outs of these programs.

Thank you.

I also am wondering about the possibility of redeeming KE miles (acquired through Chase Sapphire) for domestic Delta flights. Flying from a small town airport, it actually makes sense if it is do-able.

Has anyone actually successfully redeemed KE miles for Delta flights? Were there additional fees? Thanks.
