Hello,
I miraculously managed to snag 2 J award seats for my family using SQ miles on OZ 213 from SFO to ICN on Dec 1st. I am wondering what the chances are that OZ will release additional award seats to Star A partners for this flight? I need one more award seat for myself.
Do I stand any chance for OZ to release more or do they have a max number of star A awards they will release per flight ?

I think there is a slim to non chance they would have 3 of 24 or more seats availible on an award basis on SFO-ICN. Unless there's 10-12 or more available 48 hours out, I'd say don't count on it. There's a fair amount of Corporate traffic on the route so last minute bookings in C aren't common.

If necessary get the 3rd person to fly UA SFO-ICN instead. The times are similar and they seemed to have wide availability on this route.
Admittedly I was looking at the same route last week for end of December for 2 people, and even when I could see 2 OZ J available on ANA, BMI agent could also see it but somehow could not book it. But then the agent told me SQ015 J (77W) was available which I took without thinking.

You were able to get J on SQ's 77W?? Didn't realize the SFO-ICN route had saver awards opened

No, I think he was using BMI miles as they recently could "see" SQ award space on 77W and A380

Is this limited to BMI? This would be a big change if SQ was now opening up J awards on the 77W.
