Air India leaves earlier than Sri Lanks, but stops in Mumbai, where I have acces to lounge. Sri Lanka is all together a shorter trip. Leaves 4 hours later but arrive at the same time as Air India. Which should I choose when flying economy? Air India leaves at 17.45 and Sri Lanka at 20.55 if that matters (check inn time?). Any ideas and hints? Price is the same.

The Air India flight would involve a terminal change from the domestic to the international one in Mumbai, which I don't find to be a very smooth process.

Srilankan, on the other hand, is a very good airline. Their service in Y class used to be very good. But this was 2 years ago. Not sure how it is now. Transiting through CMB is very simple and the airport is pretty good too.

If I were you, I'd take UL over AI.

My vote goes to UL, their service is really good and they are more or less punctual, AI on the other hand is a bit sad story on this route, long delays and too much of a hassle while transiting the BOM airport. Take up UL anyday.

+1 for Sri Lankan. Also check the price difference for C as it may be very small.

go with ul....the flight is not too long so a direct route makes much more sense....
