Booked biz class flight to BKK via travel agent. Called agent prior to booking and was told chaffeur drive included. Now Oman Air are refusing to honour this...say I have booked discounted biz class. The booking page doesnt indicate which class..feel I am being fobbed off. Anyone else had issues like this??

hi there. The SAME issue happened to me and my colleague yesterday. my ticket is a C class, his is a D class (discounted). Flying from BAH to MCT. I've checked their site and according to them, only chauffeur service is offered for C class and First class P/F. They don't offer it to D, which is stupid. Another thing. I wasn't even offered the service! why? because according to their local office the chauffeur service was discontinued three months ago!! and they didn't update their site about it :(
I had this problem last year when I travelled to BKK too.
No chauffeur service and I complained to the WY office in Dammam and in Muscat. Both offices said that they will get back to me, and both did not. In this respect, I too felt let down by their customer service, although I must say that I'm quite impressed with their business class onboard service.
For those expecting chauffeur service on WY, beware. So far, based on members' feedback, it is a myth.

I think customer service seems to be the major let down for Oman Air. Because the business class product onboard is the best in the air, without a shadow of a doubt.

I quite agree - Oman Air gets so much right, but when it comes to resolving problems they just don't get it. I've flown about 30,000 miles with them over the past year and I've been trying to get my airmiles credited without any success. I've probably lost them all now and I'm seriously considering to go back to flying Etihad as a result.

Regarding the chauffeur drive service, quite a different experience for me.
Travelling C class LHR-BKK on 15/10. Booking went smoothly via email.
Car arrived on time in the UK for transfer to Heathrow. On arrival in BKK we were greeted immediately after disembarkation and escorted through immigration fast track to collect luggage and then onward through customs to meet our driver.
All in all ...very impressed ^

I too have been able to successfully book limo service in London and Bangkok on a C class fare.
The Oman Air agent forwarded confirmation emails from the limo companies to my email.

I booked business flight online, but i cant see if its C or D fare. How can i find out whith out having to call.
V good point.
I have previously contacted them to point out that the web booking engine does not state the fare class - so you cannot make a decision between different types of ticket.
They agreed (in their reply) that this needed attention, but it's been months and nothing has changed to their web booking engine.
To get around this, I booked using my local Oman Air office, who are (one particularly lady anyway) very helpful and efficient.
