It is a little over 50 % sold out they said bbd Oct 4, 11, 10:05 am I have some really good quotes from cruisecompete.com, the same price but giving me approx a $500.00 ship credit for the booking through and independent agent. The agents reviews from the site seem to be really good as well. I am considering booking though one of the people that have quoted me there. clacko Oct 4, 11, 12:57 pm you are going in the right direction....let us know the outcome... ontheway Oct 4, 11, 7:39 pm I booked Navigator of the Seas for June 3rd. The price went up one hundred dollars already. However I used a TA and I am getting free gratuities and $100 on board credit. As it gets closer, if the price goes down you will get OBC for that amount up until final payment. bbd Oct 12, 11, 4:37 pm Booked the cruise today for our group. Got quotes from www.cruisecompete.com , got 8 total quotes all of them quoted just about the same total cost for each cruise give or take 50 dollars. I went with the one with the lowest total cost, and they also give me $475.00 ship credit vs some other giving $200.00 dollars. cruisecompete was very easy to get quotes and then I contacted the TA directly and called and made the reservation. Royal Carribean charges my card directly so I am not worried about fraud, and the TA is going to send me an invoice shortly with all the information. Also a thing to note is cruisecompete gives ratings on each agency, and the one i chose seemed to get very well ratings. I booked through Crown Cruise Vacation, 1-877-283-1114 ext 7021 Toni Patterson tentseller Oct 13, 11, 11:19 am A 5 days cruise departing Dec 29 would make it a New Years cruise which has a premium over a standard 5 day cruise even for the same itinerary. bbd Oct 17, 11, 3:56 pm The rate dropped after I booked and paid for the reservation, I emailed my TA. and she got the rooms upgraded, it was painless. I hope they drop some more so I can get some more onboard ship credits. Fontaine Oct 17, 11, 7:09 pm You need to follow the price changes yourself - I would look every few days. Since you are within the final 90 days I don't think you will get any on board credit for a price drop, but you should be able to keep upgrading. Keep an eye on the prices of the categories of cabins above you. They don't move in synch. So while your category might not change, there could be a sale on balcony cabins, so for a few bucks more, or even no additional cost, you might be able to move up. Good luck. LGANightOwl Oct 25, 11, 1:16 am ...there could be a sale on balcony cabins, so for a few bucks more, or even no additional cost, you might be able to move up. Good luck. Not sure if it's the same on all ships, but I was on the Liberty a year ago. Be careful of moving up to the suites that are directly under the deck where the Windjammer and the pools are. Make sure that you select a room that's not under the pool area. We had such a room and when the staff were moving the chairs at 1am, we heard everything underneath. This happened, too, during the daytime when people were by the pool. Whenever the chairs moved, it screached on my ceiling and was similar to hearing a cat scratching a blackboard. After 7 days, my teeth were hurting! Very unnerving! |
