AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - Airtran Reward Changes/Cancellations

I had 8.5 credits with one about to expire last night and booked a oneway to Cancun on a saturday before the expiration.

Can I change the date of my flight forward or back for free as long as it is not an hour before departure. It appeared that I could do this free of charge, but now I am afraid it will redeposit my credits if and when I make a change and end up costing me any credits that have expired between now and the day I make a change.

Can someone please clarify this policy?

I'm sure someone will have a better answer, but this may be a case where it's worth paying the phone fee (if any) to have an agent make the changes.

Call an A+CSR. Historically, reward travelers have been allowed a single itinerary change without charge, The 1 hour before flight time part might be dicey....it is possible that a gate agent could do this for you..I'm not sure
