And what caused this frightening belly-upness? Why, the co-pilot was trying to let the captain back in from the restroom. He pushed what he thought was the cockpit door button. It turned out to be the rudder trim knob.
A true miracle that they landed the plane and got all on board safely back on the ground.
A real scare that could have ended being a total nightmare.

I've seen the film on Youtube of a 707 doing a barrel roll at Boeing Field piloted by a test pilot. I've heard, but not confirmed that a 747-100 also did one there during flight trials.
An AA Pilot told me he thought it would be pretty easy to do it in a 757 or 767 and that the secret is to start with the nose of the plane pointing slightly downwards (obviously from a high altitude).
Has anyone heard of a 737-xx (or other plane) successfully pulling off an intentional or unintentional barrel roll.

Yes: China Airlines 006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_Airlines_Flight_006)
I think I probably would've .... my pants
Amazing that it landed safely. 737s aren't supposed to do that.

The revelation came at an awkward time for the Japanese carrier, just hours after the first of the new-generation Boeing Co. 787 Dreamliner jets..finally landed in Tokyo on Wednesday..
ANA had to acknowledge the Nightmareliner on the day.
