Hello,

I am buying a ticket from Mexico City to Lima. On Orbitz I found a nonstop in Business Class for $810. It says the flight is operated by LAN Peru. When I go to the LAN website I put in the same flight and come up with a fare for over $ 2000 one way. On Aeromexico.com I can get the flight for the same as the orbitz price, but I am wondering about the class of service. There is AM Plus for $70 more than Premier. I want to fly in Business Class on the LAN flight leaving at 3:45 pm. Should I buy the Premier or AM plus on Aeromexico's site? Do these two airlines codeshare?

I know they are in different alliances so I am confused by the ability to get a LAN Peru flight on Aeromexico's site and it is over a 1000 dollars cheaper for the business class fare. Also, I recently joined AA Advantage, if I if my ticket is an Aeromexico flight number, but I am traveling on LAN to Peru can I earn miles still?

Thanks for the help.

Aeromexico is a LAN associated airline and you can earn LANpass kms when flying Aeromexico

If you are flying LAN Peru with an Aeromexico flight number you will not be able to earn AAdvantage miles

Thank you for the information! I am wondering what class of service I should buy on the Aeromexico site if I want to fly in business class on the LAN flight. I am thinking it is the Premier class....However that is cheaper than the class right before it, so I just want to make sure and I can not find specific details on each class of service besides the mileage and whether it is refundable.
