Received the email too (English version). Must say, however, that I am rather non-plussed. 12 to 15 on a weekday. Has is occurred to Alitalia that some people might actually be working and not able to access the internet for non-work purposes at that time?

Well, if it's a 'global' promo, this way you can target Western Europe as well as a number of countries West and East of Italy, matching the AZ network.
If it was something like 20-23, to better target Italy - and Europe - you would miss most of the people based east of Italy.

Their website seems to not be able to handle the additional load...its slooow. From the parts that do load I dont see anything related to discounts, how does this work?

Awful promo. 10% is already not a lot but for THREE HOURS????? You need several weeks for anyone to be able to use an offer, three hours is just ridiculous especially because (amusingly) the site was down during these three hours due to traffic overload.
