I'm looking for some advice on a connection I need to make in Orlando next month. During a trip to the US I will be going to Aguadilla, PR and ned to return to MCO from the flight home. My Jet Blue flight is scheduled to arrive MCO at 15.13 and the BA to London leaves at 17.35.
The tickets will be two separate ones so if I miss the connection I'll have to buy a new ticket. I will have a checked bag and I wondered if anyone had experience of this?
Thanks

I'm sorry, what is your question? If it is do I have enought time to make the connection, the answer is yes assuming the arriving flight is on time. I don't think that Jet Blue interlines baggage with BA so you will have to check in with BA in MCO. Don't dawdle, though. Sometimes MCO security lines get awful long.

That's a pretty tight connection with the need to claim and re-check baggage, especially because I'm guessing the BA check-in will close 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure. You'll probably make it but if anything goes wrong you're going to be on the hook for a change fee with BA.

JetBlue will not be able to interline bags for you.

Even without checked bags it is a bit of a risk because of the separate carriers and the need to be checked in 60+ minutes out, but not quite as bad.

Thanks for all the advice. I know that the connection is technically achievable I just wanted to know if anyone had experience of it. I think I might go from San Juan to MCO as that flight arrives 2 hours earlier.

I haven't done that tight of a connection at MCO, but have flown in and out of there many times. I'd say that you're cutting it close with that connection. Getting off the plane and reclaiming the bags will take 20+ min. Checking in with BA would probably take 10 min. if the line's short. Security can take up to 30 min. at busy times. After security, it would take a fast walker about 10 min. to get to the most distant gate.

If everything goes right, it'll take close to an hour to make the connection. I wouldn't risk it, especially on separate tickets.

It took me 45 minutes in mid-June and I did not think it was a particularly busy time of day.

Thanks to everyone for the input. I'm definitely flying back to MCO from San Juan.

 Ouch! My longest wait through security has been about 25 minutes.
