register as a joint account and you can have both ff# in your profile and just tick which one you would prefer to get credited.

Actually, you can credit the FF miles to anybody's account whether you are 'joint' or not.
The big reason for getting a joint account is so you can move the hh points to spouse's FF program. Without 'joint' designation the account names must match.
