Hilton HHonors - Real Late Checkout at LAX area Hiltons

Will be departing for NZ out of LAX on a 10pm departure. Anyone know if any of the LAX area Hilton family of hotels permits very late checkouts (about 6pm)? OR will I need to book another night?

Stayed at LAX Hilton on 4/16. Got free 'late' checkout until 1. I think it was an extra $25 to stay until 4. We just checked out at 12, stored luggage in their luggage room, and took a city tour arranged by bell desk. Got back at 6, retrieved luggage, took their shuttle to int terminal. Worked out great.

I know this hotel is not part of the Hilton chain ( actually it's Starwood), but the Four Points at LAX has a 24 hr policy from checkin........you check in at 10pm, your 24 hour day ends the next day at 10pm.

Call the Hilton 800 number and/or the hotel directly and ask the rate for a "day room". Typically these go for about 40-60% of the nightly cost and are typically valid for 0800 AM to 600 PM or whatever you agree to. Hours and cost vary wildly as per their expected night occupancy.

Why not just use Priceline and pay for an extra night.

Given how cheap Priceline rates are, I book an extra night if I want to check in early or check out late.
