Actually, it is said more often on shabbos morning - unless you finish tehilim on a weekly basis. I always thought it interesting the modern day applicability of גז חיש ונעופה. While the מפרשים have various explanations, taken literally it's basically fuel up and fly without delays. Perhaps we should include this in תפילת הדרך.
